HRSC Annual Camp at Fairthorne Manor 28 May to 31 May

We now have further details about our planned HRSC Annual Camp at Fairthorne Manor. This is always an exciting and popular event where there is a real "Swallows and Amazon" experience for the children (and the big kids!!!). We enjoy the sailing opportunities on the river, games and fun on land and a real opportunity to spend quality time with like minded families, whilst toasting marshmallows around the camp fire.

We aim to take the boats from HRSC to Fairthorne (oppies; picos etc) early Thursday morning (due to the tide) and any helpers would be welcome…. it may be a bit too early for the kids! You are also welcome to bring along your own boats/canoes/ribs/paddle boards, etc!

For those coming by road, you will be welcome to join us mid morning on the Thursday to catch the last of the tide and pitch camp. Friday and Saturday will be spent sailing, messing about on the water and exploring the higher reaches of the river……..with rounders and treasure hunts on the land. Fairthorne will lay on a campfire singalong with hot chocolate on the Thursday evening – so bring your marshmallows for toasting!

We will then bring the boats back on the Sunday morning – on the falling tide…..aiming to be back at the club early afternoon.

The dates are Thursday, 28 May till Sunday 31 May……you can come for just one night or two or all……..

The cost for camping is £25 per tent/family per night.

Fairthorne have also offered their own pre-erected heavy duty tents for those of you who may prefer to use them (4m x 5m) – they come with beds so all you need to bring is a sleeping bag and pillow! Cost per tent per night is £60.00.

If you prefer not to camp then you are most welcome to come along for the day (or days) at a cost of £5 per person per day.

We need to confirm interest as quickly as possible (it's only two and a bit weeks away!!) – so please let us know if you want to join us and if so, what you plans would be. Payment will be required before your stay.
