This enabled Kathy Smalley as Race Officer to set pretty much the courses used last week but with the finish round Hamble Point and onto the Club finish line. The tide was just on the turn at the start and the breeze , although usually about 12 to 15 knots every now and then threw in a

Hamble River SC Wednesday Night Series - Series A Race 2 13th May 2015

From one extreme to another as race 1 of the A series was cancelled due to too much wind and race 2 last night looked barely viable due to too little wind! Kathy Smalley is back for the A series as Race Officer and the committee boat headed out to Bald Head whilst avoiding the overturned powerboat en route. The SE steadily varied between insufficient and just enough knots and a

Hamble River SC - Bottle Pursuit 29th April 2015

A wet weather forecast, big black storm clouds and strong winds failed to deter the Race Officer and crew of the HRSC committee boat last night. Accompanied by only XOD Satu ( Andy Hamlett) the committee endured no less than three hail storms to set up shop at Bald Head as the tide began to flood. For quite some time nothing other than a dismasted J sports boat under
